We are a boutique high tech scientific instrument company located in San Dimas, Southern California -- 20 miles east of Pasadena. We are looking for an entry level technician to perform quality control of analytical instrument, assist in assembly of instrument and assist in packaging the instrument. This is a career position limited only by the attitude and ability of the candidate.
A. Job description:
- Quality inspection of optical, electrical and mechanical parts.
- Quality control of UV, VIS, NIR microscope and microspectrophotometer.
- Producing quality inspection report. Collecting and analyzing spectroscopic data
- Updating and creating quality control instruction.
- Maintaining and organizing tools, parts in manufacturing area.
- Assisting mechanical, electrical and optical assembly for instrumentation.
- Assisting (or in charge of) the task of packing instrument.
- Assisting Ph.D. scientists in R&D.
B. Minimum requirements :
- Most important : You must possess can-do attitude, enthusiasm and professional business manner.
- 4 year college degree; Physical or Analytical Chemistry or Physics degree preferred. Experience in spectroscopy is must. Understanding of basic Quantum Dynamics related to spectroscopy is must.
- Fluent in English and good communication skill. You must be able to pass U.S. government security clearance.
- Must be exceptionally detail oriented. This position requires exceptional organization skill.
- Self starter and a quick learner.
- High level of aptitude in dealing with people.
- Mechanical aptitude is must.
- High level of computer competency.
