GeoImage


GeoImage™ uses a camera to quickly and accurately measure the reflectance of vitrinite macerals.  GeoImage™ is designed for the organic petrographic analysis using Standard Test Methodologies ISO 7404-5 and ASTM D2798. 

GeoImage™ works by reading the vitrinite reflectance intensity from each pixel of a calibrated camera.  This means that, in the standard configuration, millions of  points can be measured at one time...making vitrinite reflectance testing quick, easy and accurate.  GeoImage™ can be configured to measure the reflectance from coals, kerogens and petroleum source rock as well as a host of other materials.  And with it's flexible design, the GeoImage™ is offered wth point counting capabilities, automation of the test procedure and high resolution color imaging. 

With no moving parts, GeoImage™ is durable and user friendly. Designed with flexibility and speed in mind, the GeoImage™ vitrinite reflectance measurement system will easily comply with future changes in coal testing methods and your own experiments.

Introduction

The 20/30 Geo™ microspectrometer is designed for advanced geological analysis.  This ranges from the determination of the quality and counterfeit analysis of gemstones to petrography to geological research.  Custom built to meet your requirements, the bespoke 20/30 Geo™ incorporates the latest technological advances in optics, spectroscopy and software to deliver the best performance both in terms of spectroscopy and imaging in the UV, visible and NIR regions.  The 20/30 Geo™ is easy to use yet able to non-destructively measure even sub-micron sized features of gemstones and minerals. As such, the 20/30 Geo™ represents a giant leap forward in forensic UV-visible-NIR microspectroscopy and gemstone analysis.

The 20/30 Geo™ microspectrophotometer combines the latest technologies to allow the user to measure UV-visible-NIR range transmission, absorbance, reflectance and fluorescence spectra with sampling areas as small as one micron. And this can all be done with the same instrument! Additionally, the gemstones and minerals can be viewed simultaneously during microspectral data acquisition. This allows the user to visually and spectroscopically locate and analyze their stones.

Measure and quantify the refractive index of glass

rIQ™ is designed to measure and quantify the refractive index of microscopic fragments of glass.  rIQ™ stands for Refractive Index Quantification and is built based upon the thermo-optical methodology defined by ASTM E1967.  As such, it is an automated system which measures the refractive index of microscopic glass fragments by monitoring the change in refractive index of calibrated oils as they are heated and cooled.

Introduction



The CoalPro II™ Optical Petrography System from CRAIC Technologies is a microphotometer designed for the organic petrographic analysis using Standard Test Methodologies ISO 7404-5 and ASTM D2798. This microphotometer is configured to measure the reflectance from coals, kerogens and petroleum source rock. However, it also has a very flexible design. The CoalPro II™ was developed anticipating the next generation of test protocols as well as for fluorescence and micro-imaging.

Incorporating a new optical detector and CRAIC CoalPro™ software, the CoalPro II™ system grades the energy content of coals, kerogens and petroleum source rock using the ISO 7404 and ASTM D2798 standard test methods.  It also gives you the ability to collect full color images of each measurement location in addition to full automation if desired.

However, the CoalPro II™ can also be upgraded to a full 508 Coal™ microscope spectrophotometer to measure the full reflectance spectrum and the spectral fluorescence from coal, kerogen, petroleum source rock and other petrochemicals.

With no moving parts, the CoalPro II™ is durable and user friendly. Designed with flexibility and speed in mind, the  CoalPro II™ system rapidly measures vitrinite reflectivity and also has the ability to do other types of spectroscopic and petrographic analysis and imaging. With this flexibility of design, it will easily comply with future changes in coal testing methods and your own experiments.
