Introduction
The CRAIC Technologies Thermal Stage Package is designed for the analysis of samples using variable-temperature microscopy, imaging and microspectroscopy from the deep UV to the near IR. Applications include materials science research, pharmaceutical and agriculture analysis, and geological and forensic studies.
The Thermal Stage package from consists of a thermal block configured for transmission and reflectance illumination. Able to operate in the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared regions, sample temperatures can range from -196 up to 600°C. The unit can offer both fast heating and cooling of the sample with temperature stability on the order of <0.01°C. You are also able to maneuver the sample in the X, Y and Z directions for optimal position while acquiring both images and spectra.
Computerized temperature control means that temperature variations can be programmed for the course of the experiment. This fine level of control means that both large and small variations in temperature can be achieved quickly and easily.
The Thermal Stage package from CRAIC Technologies is your solution for both heating and cooling your samples.

Introduction
CRAIC Technologies™ provides a range of fluorescent standards for calibrating microspectrometers. These standards feature highly stable inorganic fluorescent pigments embedded in a durable thermoplastic resin. Their matte finish minimizes stray light, making them perfect for microspectrophotometers. Activated by UV light, these standards emit across a spectrum from blue to red, ensuring precise calibration for both microspectrophotometers and microfluorometers.
Incorporating CRAIC's fluorescent standards into your calibration procedure ensures high-quality microfluorescence measurements. They are easy to use and integral to achieving accurate, reliable results with CRAIC microspectrophotometers.

Quartz Slides & Quartz Coverslips from CRAIC Technologies™
CRAIC Technologies quartz slides and coverslips are spectral grade and manufactured to the highest levels of quality.
Quartz slides and coverslips are essential for UV-visible microspectroscopy and microscopy because they transmit UV light far more efficiently than common glass slides and coverslips, which absorb UV light and transmit very little below 340 nm.
However, not all quartz is created equal. There are various grades and specifications, and most commercially available quartz slides and coverslips use lower-grade materials unsuitable for deep UV microspectroscopy or microscopy. For spectroscopists, maximizing UV light transmission is crucial, especially in the deep ultraviolet region where many materials exhibit unique features.
Consider the transmittance spectra of CRAIC spectral grade quartz compared to commonly used quartz in microscope slides and coverslips. The purple line represents the lower-grade quartz typically used in standard slides and coverslips, showing a significant drop in UV transmission below 265 nm. This drop is why many scientists struggle with UV microspectroscopy between 200 to 265 nm when not using CRAIC quartz slides. In contrast, the red line represents the optical-grade quartz used by CRAIC Technologies in their slides and coverslips, which transmits over 85% of UV light down to 200 nm.
By choosing CRAIC quartz slides and coverslips, scientists ensure high UV light transmission, enabling accurate and efficient UV microspectroscopy and microscopy, even in the challenging deep ultraviolet region.
